Linking two units through NMEA 0183 to share a GPS module

After you have the units wired as per diagram you will need set up nmea0183 in each unit. Here's how: locate "Communications Port" in the menu. Depending on which unit it is this is usually located in 2nd menu under System Setup. Some older units may be different.<BR><BR>The unit that has the gps module connected to it is referred to as the "host unit" from here on out.<BR><BR>Enter communications port of host unit (antenna unit) and set unit to send NMEA0183 or sometimes called GPS out<BR>Enter communications port of receiving unit and set this unit to receive NMEA0183<BR><BR>The host unit must always be turned on to use gps on the receiving unit.<BR><BR><BR><A href="http://www.lureshop.co.kr/nzeo/data/pot/1279292187/untitled.bmp" rel=lightbox target=_blank><img onLoad='miniSelfResize(contents_9,this); if(this.parentNode.tagName=="A"){this.onclick = "";}' style="CURSOR: pointer" title="popup original Image" name=zb_target_resize src="http://www.lureshop.co.kr/nzeo/data/pot/1279292187/untitled.bmp" ></A>
